Good question. We attempt to score the game live each night, and the most reliable information source during the show is the dmband.com road page. So we include every song that is listed there, unless the page indicates that it was a tease or a partial song. The game would be too difficult to play if we included all of the teases and partial songs, and someone has to draw the line between a full and partial song somewhere, so we let dmband.com make the call on that.

Sometimes dmband.com changes how they list a song. For example, ASTB wasn’t included on any setlists during the first few years the game was played, even though the band played it regularly between SMTS and Too Much. Then one year dmband started listing it, so we started scoring it. With Too Much Fake, dmband.com listed it as a “fake” instead of a partial song or tease, so we counted it as a separate song. This year Too Much was listed twice as a partial song – I haven’t heard the recordings so I don’t know whether that was the “Too Much Fake” they played last year or not, but in any case unless it gets listed as a full song we won’t include it in the setlist for scoring.

    Thanks for playing!
